Josh Charles
Founder | CEO
Josh founded Coul St. to solve his own street charging problem. He is an experienced research and development engineering lead with over 15 years of experience in energy, thermal sciences, and sustainable technologies development, and has a PhD in mechanical engineering.
Josh is passionate about bringing home EV charging to those currently without access - especially those who park on the street. He has leaned on his engineering background to develop the Coul St. charger and heads up the development and testing efforts.
Josh has been awarded over $3.5M in DOE, DOD, and USDA-funded technology development grants and has been responsible for the early-stage development of multiple new technologies.
Tristan Peace
Founder | COO
Tristan founded Coul St. to solve charging for the many communities left behind in the transition to EVs. He has over 7 years of experience as an entrepreneur, creative director, and brand consultant and holds an MBA.
Tristan loves telling stories and developing a brand based on these stories. He has built several successful customer-facing businesses within highly competitive creative fields and is experienced in business development, marketing, and leading a team.
Kelly A. Campbell
Founder | CTO
Passionate about making a difference in climate change, Kelly joined Coul Street to advance the availability of charging to neighborhoods like his where most people park on the street. He is a software engineer and tech leader with 30 years of experience across a spectrum of technologies and products.
Prior to Coul Street, Kelly led engineering at STRATIS IoT — growing the team to 30+ engineers and building smart property tech used in thousands of multi-family buildings. Earlier, at Google, Kelly worked on billing and payments, developer tools, and real-time ad platforms.

Nicholas Johnson is a technical founder and product strategist with a deep expertise in energy systems, and electrification, and full-stack hardware/software development. A former Tesla engineer, and the founder of Orange Charger, he brings his experience to Coul St, advising product direction, platform strategy, and long-term vision.
